Martin Newnham is a singer/songwriter from the Isle of Wight currently residing in the not so picturesque Hanwell West London. He has spent several years writing, recording and performing as front man of London based band 'The Goondocks'.
Drew Kennett is a singer/songwriter hailing from the Isle of Wight. Drew first picked up a guitar when he was 18, learning his favourite Beatles songs from a book and a chord sheet . He first started writing his own material around his early twenties and in 2001 he bumped into his old school friend Paul Butler of the Bees. Paul offered to record some of Drews songs in his studio, the outcome was a two track demo consisting of 'Dig Deeper' and 'Changing Face'. The demo was sent by paul to Source Records a subsidary of the EMI/Virgin group.
The Denvers are another of our IOW Music artists that actually hail from the Island. Currently residing in Shanklin lead singer Danny is a very accomplished singer/songwriter. He has recorded several EPs and LPs and has gigged constantly all over the UK for the past six years. Danny has taken the brave step to make music his sole work however with the quality of his music and performance he has little to worry about.
Lexter 17 are based on the Isle of Wight, which is just off the south coast of the UK. The band has only been writing and recording together since the autumn of 2005, but the core members of the band Marinelli (songwriter, vocals, and guitar) and Niki D (bass, vocals) are ex bandmates. They worked together a few years back, in the indie/rock 4 piece 'Tongue', which created waves with their self financed albums 'Plastic People' and 'Drink Milk', and the response to their live performance was overwhelmingly positive.
GoodbyeStereo are a four-piece Indie/pop rock band based on the Isle of Wight. Aged between 18-21 with their influences consisting of a mixture of genres including indie, pop, rock, jazz, ambient/experimental and acoustic folk to name but a few you can guarantee an interesting yet energetic performance from this up and coming band.
The Shutes play heartfelt rock n' roll with a pinch of psychedelia and a sprinkling of pop.
