Drew Kennett is a singer/songwriter hailing from the Isle of Wight. Drew first picked up a guitar when he was 18, learning his favourite Beatles songs from a book and a chord sheet . He first started writing his own material around his early twenties and in 2001 he bumped into his old school friend Paul Butler of the Bees.
Paul offered to record some of Drews songs in his studio, the outcome was a two track demo consisting of 'Dig Deeper' and 'Changing Face'. The demo was sent by paul to Source Records a subsidary of the EMI/Virgin group.
Drew was quickly snapped up and signed a deal with Source Records, with Paul producing, The two of them went away and recorded the critically acclaimed album 'Songs From the Devils Chimney'. It was well recieved by the critics and press but Source felt Drew wasn't ready to hit the mainstream.
Drew left source Records in 2005 and has now teamed up with I.O.W. MUSIC. He is now currently recording his second album with Dick Taylor of the Pretty Things.
